Graduation Success for ACE Winches Modern Apprentices

6th October 2015

ACE Winches attended the annual Modern Apprentices Graduation ceremony hosted by ITCA, at The Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen on Monday 5th October 2015.  The company joined colleagues as they received their Award for SVQ Level 3, Modern Apprentice and SVQ Level 4 qualifications in their chosen disciplines that included Engineering, Fabrication & Welding, Electrical Engineering and Business Administration.

ACE Winches recognises the importance to the company and the industry of encouraging young people to enter Oil & Gas which can help to bridge the knowledge gap left by an aging workforce.  The company is committed in supporting young people to develop their skills in a workplace environment through Modern Apprenticeships and Graduate Schemes, and ensuring that the company is equipped for the future.

In addition to a qualification certificate, ACE Winches were delighted that three of its team received special excellence awards for their dedication and commitment.  An ITCA Overall Excellence Award was received by Claire Findlay (Business and Administration) and David Galindo (Fabrication Welding) and the Andrew Button Memorial Award for Excellence was presented to Deryn Patterson (Engineering).

Valerie Cheyne, CCO commented “ACE Winches is proud to facilitate the delivery of modern apprenticeships.   The special occasion was a fitting tribute to all those who combine further education and studies with their day job.”
