ACE Winches Attends Trade Mission to West Africa for the Offshore West Africa Conference

ACE Winches, a leading global deck machinery specialist, joined the trade mission organised by Scottish Development International to West Africa.

The mission travelled initially to Ghana – visiting Accra, before heading to Lagos, Nigeria to attend the 20th Offshore West Africa conference.

The visit to date has provided ACE Winches and other participating companies with the opportunity to visit a range of companies and government representatives to gain first-hand experience of the markets in the region. The main objective has been to improve market awareness, meet existing and potential customers, agents or joint venture partners and to access a wide range of experts in all aspects of doing business in Ghana.

ACE Winches has worked with key operators, marine construction and drilling contractors in the West African region for more than 15 years on multiple rigs, vessels and projects. A wide range of manufactured and hire equipment has been deployed on a variety of operations during this time.

Supporting West African operations ACE Winches has supplied long term hires for multi winch packages, manufactured a mooring spread of 75te winches with electric HPUs for a drilling rig.  Mobilised hire equipment including spooling winch, deep water fast winch and a-frame package and sold a constant tension winch package designed and manufactured by ACE Winches for installation on a deepwater construction vessel for deployment offshore Angola.
