Project Details

ACE Winches delivered four ACE 12te Electric Deck Winch Packages to Subsea 7, for operation on board the Normand Oceanic, offshore Brazil.  The packages were built using innovative technologies and methods designed internally by ACE. 

Components for each package included ACE 45kW Safe Area Electric Motors, ACE 55kW Safe Area Electric Inverter Drive Units, ACE Local Control Systems, ACE Belly Pack Control Systems and ACE PLC Safe Area Control and SCADA Systems.

The winches are linked in to the vessels electric power supply and will perform lifting and pulling applications with an increased focus on energy efficiency, a reduction in environmental impact and a quieter work site.
