800te and 100te Linear Winch Packages for Johan Sverdrup Project

The ACE 800te Linear Winch package was used for the pull-in operations of a 36” oil export pipeline into Mongstad oil terminal through a 48” diameter 800m long borehole.

The Johan Sverdrup field is located in the Utsira High area in the North Sea, 155 kilometers west of Stavanger at water depths of 110-120 meters. The 200 square kilometer reservoir was discovered in 2011 and holds estimated reserves of between 1.7 – 3 billion barrels of oil equivalents.  The ACE 100te Linear Winch Package was required for the pull-in wire installation to the Johan Sverdrup field.
